Key Responsibilities :

1. Budget & Cost Control Support:

  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, helping track costs across various project components.
  • Support the team in maintaining accurate financial records and help analyze discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs.

2. Procurement & Contract Administration:

  • Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with the companys procurement policies.
  • Support in reviewing and processing purchase orders, invoices, and contract documents.
  • Help track supplier performance and manage correspondence with vendors and subcontractors.

3. Financial Reporting & Documentation:

  • Assist in preparing financial reports, progress reports, and other documentation for project managers and clients.
  • Ensure that all project financial data is correctly entered and updated in the company’s financial systems.

4. Supporting Contract Management:

  • Learn to review and assist with contract negotiations, ensuring that all terms are clear and followed.
  • Help in managing any amendments to contracts or changes in scope and assist in preparing change orders.

5. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a point of contact for internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers for any commercial-related inquiries.
  • Assist in preparing communications to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

6. Training & Development:

  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to develop knowledge in commercial management and construction practices.
  • Gain hands-on experience and exposure to the commercial side of construction projects, leaming from senior team members.

7. Data Management:

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining commercial project data, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
  • Ensure proper filing and organization of financial documents in line with company policies and procedures.

8. Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Support in the preparation for audits and compliance checks, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Timeliness and accuracy of financial reports.
  • Quality of work in supporting contract and procurement activities.
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills in commercial management.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders and intemal teams.

General Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from reputable university
  • 1-2 years experienced as a Staff Commercial, Cost and Accountant or relevant role in accounting
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets, knowledge in Macro
  • Good math skills
  • Confidentiality and integrity
  • Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of basic financial principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and basic knowledge of construction management or accounting software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and learn from senior staff members.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in English and Computer Literature

Additional Skills (Preferred) :

  • Knowledge of procurement processes and contract management.
  • Exposure to project management or construction-based software (e.g., Procore, SAP, etc)
  • Interest in pursuing a career in commercial management or project management.
