Responsibilities
Configuring Linux and Windows servers and necessary applications such as web server, mail server, DNS, firewall etc.
Can operate ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and IT service management processes.
Have knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, etc.
Proficiency in configuring, managing and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN concentrators, etc.
Have an understanding of routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLAN, STP, EtherChannel).
Have knowledge of network security principles, including access control lists (ACLs), firewalls, VPNs, encryption protocols, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security best practices
Understanding of wireless networking standards, WLAN controllers, and wireless security protocols (WPA2, WPA3), Virtual networking concepts, including VLAN, VXLAN, SDN, and virtual networking technologies such as VMware NSX or Cisco ACI.
Have experience with network monitoring tools (e.g. Wireshark, Nagios, Zabbix) and troubleshooting network related issues
